The methodology and sources used for this website are available here.
U.S. government data and methodologies were used wherever possible, including for the export of goods and services, overall investment, and employment estimates, as explained in the methodology. A private data source was used to identify the illustrative investments pictured on the state infographics. This website often refers to the EU’s Member States. At the time of publication, there were 28 Member States: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden and the United Kingdom (UK). Statistics used on this website include the data for any country which was a Member State in the period in question. These data will be adjusted as appropriate in future editions of the map and infographic.
